An intro of sorts

This site and my publishing company have been a long time in the making.   I had been writing music since college, as well as directing and performing in straight plays, musicals, and a couple of bands.  I eventually decided to go to Berklee College of Music, from which I graduated in 1996.

When I finished Berklee, though, things needed to soak in a while.  It was almost two decades later that I finally picked up the threads I'd left behind so long ago.  Since that time a lot of life has happened, a lot of music has been written, and I've grown up, become a doctor of all things (or at least that's my day-ish job), and here I am.

One of the hardest things about going to music school is the amount of time you spend under the microscope.  It's easy to lose sight of the joy of writing and playing music, and to have no perspective about whether you're getting better or worse.  It's been good to be away a bit, and now it's good to be back.
